Leopard Gecko Care

If you choose to get a leopard gecko, you want to make sure that you are caring for it properly.

You need to make sure its tank is large enough for it to live in. You also need to keep the tank clean often so that bacteria doesn’t build up.

You also need to provide a thermogradient with a heat lamp at one end and a cooler area at the other end of the tank. You should also give your gecko low levels of UV light for the Vitamin D that they need.

What Do Leopard Geckos Eat?

Leopard geckos are quite the special gecko. They are not the kinds of lizards that will accept fruits and vegetables, and they also will not eat regular lizard foods that you may find in a normal pet store.

They are more unique than that and need a special kind of care.

Leos will only accept live animals most of the time. Although there are times that they will eat something else, the majority of the time they will only eat live insects.

They also need vitamins and supplements. Mostly, they need Calcium and Vitamin D3 in order to stay as healthy as possible.

If you notice any feeding or eating issues, this could be due to a health condition or something wrong with the environment. It is always a good idea to look into this as soon as you notice an issue.

Ensuring that you feed your gecko the right food is what will ensure its longevity and happiness!
